Founded in 1995 by Roderick Swift, Epimedia, Inc. got its start with the goal of leveraging the then-nascent internet to help businesses in State College, PA expand their services and reach broader markets. Since that time, our services have expanded to include contracting for the defense industry, hardware and software development, and patent support services.

Rod received his B.S. in electrical engineering from Duke University in 1992, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Pennsylvania State University in 1995 and 1998, respectively. After graduation, he contracted to the pharmaceutical industry to develop visualization tools to aid in drug discovery.

From 1999 to 2003, Rod served in the US Air Force at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, NM. There, he developed diagnostic systems for millimeter wave applications and served as test director.
